About My Watches

Every one of my restorations is treated with the same close attention to
detail. I begin with careful disassembly and inspection of each watch. This inspection will determine if a watch is worthy of restoration (and many watches are not) they are simply too badly worn or damaged to be brought up to the quality I offer. Only then does the restoration work begin.

Cases are carefully polished and detailed (including brushed surfaces where appropriate) paying close attention to the original contours of the case. One of the easiest ways to ruin a fine vintage watch (especially a gold one) is to carelessly jam it into a buffing wheel polishing away the fine edges and details. After this painstaking process they are thoroughly cleaned inside and out in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Dials, original or restored are probably one of the hottest topics of discussion among buyers. Yes, original may be "better", however if it is appealing to the eye then how much does it really matter? I always conserve original dials when practical and this is clearly noted in my descriptions. Unfortunately many dials are simply too badly aged or damaged to be attractive. These dials are carefully returned to their former glory using their original figures, printing plates made from original dials and original style finishes. Occasionally something more exciting may be offered such as a two-tone or modern color but always using their original figures.

All movements I'm inspected I watchmaker with more than 20 years experience. I'm specializes in watches from the finest makers: Hamilton, Elgin, Bulova, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Rolex, etc.

Each watch for sell is fully disassembled and cleaned using a Ultrasonic Watch Cleaning System. They are checked again prior to assembly, oiling and adjustment using a Timegrapher timing machine. Broken or damaged parts are replaced with only genuine brand name parts.

Only after this extensive work is completed is each watch carefully reassembled using a new or original scratch free crystal, a new gasket where appropriate and a quality strap with matching buckle. It is then rigorously bench-tested for three days for proper timekeeping and function prior to sell.

If you are a casual buyer, (or a serious collector), looking for a unique piece of history, you will not be disappointed with your purchase.

Unlike watches offered by many sellers, my watches are covered by a fifteen day MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. If you don't like the watch send it back for a FULL NO QUESTIONS ASKED REFUND (less shipping),

It's that simple. In addition each watch is covered by a one month mechanical warranty (excluding damage caused by the wearer; water damage, dropping the watch etc).

Whether you are a diehard collector or a casual buyer looking for something distinctive for your wrist you deserve the best, so treat yourself to a fine vintage timepiece
